Spring Trip + Hell or High Water

What’s up CUKCers

Another reminder that Spring Trip is April 22, and we have approx 2 kayaking spots, and 4 raft spots remaining for anyone interested. We have successfully booked your favorite world class instructor Billy Harris and Ben Fraser to run the clinics. :)   We are hoping to bring 10 kayakers and 6 rafters to the river.

Hell or High Water May 1st and 2nd is an amazing event on the Petewawa River (class III and IV). CUKC is signing up at least one raft.  Feel free to send us an email if you’re interested in coming. The cost for rafting is $25 and we will arrange car pooling at a nominal fee. More details coming up.

    hey. i was just wondering about the hell or high water race. you said may 1st and 2nd… i was under the impression that HOHW is only a one day thing?? is that wrong, does it go a second day too? camping and bonfires then? :D

    what’s the deal with it? someone told me you had to have your own raft to sign up for rafting. it’s my birthday that day and i kinda want to go launch myself down a class V river for it :D i guess i’m wondering how many spots you guys have left, since i’ve got a few people who would like to come along. if i should sign a group of us up with you guys, or if we should just get our own raft through the people putting it on? that maybe isn’t a fair question to be asking you, but i figured you might know the answer? :)

    HOHW does go for two days. First day is the in town section with the kayak and rafting races and second day is the Upper Pet :) we are planning on camping minimum Friday night since the event starts at 9am some people may stay for may 2nd.

    we have a few spots remaining for rafting. you can sign up a group through us not problem! or we can put you in touch with the people organizing this event.
