You know the drill, sign up for this weeks pool sessions, Saturday 4th (8:00-9:30) and Monday 6th (8:00 – 9:00), is now open. Come out, learn some new tricks and play some good ol’ kayak polo!
Hoodies are in and can be picked up at the pool sessions.

Hey Friends,
Pool session sign up is now open for Saturday 28th (8:00-9:30) and Monday 30th (8:00 – 9:00).
On another note, thanks to all who voted for CUKC in the Five 2 Nine contest for free swag, it was a close call but we came out with the win!
CUKC is also putting together a Relay For Life team, which is a fundraiser for cancer. If you’d like to join our team, or donate check out www.curelayforlife.com, the team name is CUKC and the password is kayak!

Hey Folks!
Sorry about the late e-mail today, my bad. But you guys know the drill. Pool session sign up is now open Saturday 21st is open as is the registration for the Monday 23rd session. Kayak Polo has recently been a big hit, so expect more of that.
One more thing, Next week as some of you may or may not know the Banff Mountain Fim Festival is playing at the Bytown Theatre. Tickets for the Monday and Tuesday shows are still available and a bunch of us from CUKC are gonna be. The show displays some of the best films submitted this year and typical feature films on skiing, climbing, kayaking, and expeditions. So if this sounds like your cup of tea go get yourself some tickets. Tickets are still being sold at the Bytown Theatre on Rideau street. Welcome Back Everybody!
Its a new year and and new semester. We hope that every one had a happy and relaxing holiday break and if your New Years resolution was go to kayaking more you’ll be glad to know that pool sessions are back in full swing. Our first pool session of 2012 is Saturday the 7th from 8:00 to 9:30pm and as always we will be offering intro and rolling lessons to get you ready for the spring. Also Monday night sessions are back and at the same time from 8:00 till 9:00 pm. If you have a lesson or are borrowing our gear please make sure to show up at least 15 minutes early.

Hey CUKCer’s!
Well, as you have probably guessed, we have no more pool sessions for 2011. We will be starting up again with pool sessions early January on Saturday evenings. To see the pool sessions we already have booked, please follow this link: http://cukc.ca/pool-session-schedule. We are trying to get a second pool session time during the week as well (more to follow….).
Also, for those who ordered hoodies, we have placed the order and hoping to get them in soon. From the looks of it we don’t think they will be in before the end of exams, but we’ll keep our fingers crossed 
If they are not in by then, we will bring them to the pool sessions in January for you to pick them up.
Other then that, CUKC would like to wish everyone a happy holidays and good luck on anymore exams you may have! Its been a great semester so far (thanks to all of our wonderful members) and we hope to continue the success into next semester.

Hope everyone has enjoyed the pool sessions for the fall term because this Saturday will be our last Pool Session for the fall term. We will of course resume the pool sessions early Janurary again, so we won’t be gone for long Please see our website for a complete update of all the upcoming pool sessions for the winter term.
Also, check out our new article up on the main page of our website. It’ll give you a quick glance at how fun our pool sessions are and has a brief review of our trip to the movie premier of “ReImagined”.

So the other weekend we all headed over to the kayak movie night hosted at the Corner Bar and Grill. Breaking away from the trend of movie nights at the Glebe location, this year’s event was held at their new pub in Westboro.
Level Six and Five2Nine sponsored the movie premier of “Reimagined”. The funds raised from the movie night went to First Descents Canada, a program that empowers young adults fighting and who have fought cancer to regain control of their lives through things like paddling and rock climbing.
There were lots of prizes raffled off including a dry top, lifejacket, t-shirts and even a boat; our own Ebony even won an H2O paddle! YAY! All in all it was a great night of drinks, paddling movies and great friends, Awwwww.
As for the pools sessions, we’re going to continue having them into exam season to liven up your dreary study days with some kayaking fun before you head home to all those Holiday treats and gifts wrapped in ribbon.

Ooops sorry about the late e-mail folks, but somebody, not naming any names here forgot to write up the e-mail last night. Here’s the big news, Classes are practically over and exams haven’t started. Now I know no one is going to start studying right away this weekend, so that means you should sign up for this week’s pool session Saturday Dec 3, and Monday the 5th registrations are now open for registration.
