Carleton University Pool – Parking

Saturday, October 17th, 2009 by Events @ CUKC

Parking if you do not have your own boat

If you are not bringing your own boat, you must enter the pool facility through the main entrance. The best parking lot to use is P5. Here is a link to a map of the campus: http://www2.carleton.ca/campus/ . The main entrance is pretty obvious. Once you are inside, go to the control desk. They will let you in once you tell them you are there for the Kayak Club pool session.

Parking if you are bringing your own boat

The parking lot we will be using is at the back of the athletics centre. The lot number is P12 and it is off of University Drive. Here is a link to a map of the campus: http://www2.carleton.ca/campus/ . There is a loading door close to the parking lot which will have a small sign that says CUKC on it, head there. This is a direct access way into the pool area so you won’t have to carry your gear through the whole complex. If you have any questions about parking or directions, don’t hesitate to send us an email.

Carleton University Pool – Code of Conduct

Saturday, October 17th, 2009 by Events @ CUKC

1) Your boats must arrive on deck ‘as clean as possible’ of mud, leaves etc. If they are dirty, they must be hosed-down before they are put into the pool. (dirty water into
the gutters please).

2) The access door to bring them on to the pool deck. The emergency exit door by the loading-dock doors (west side of building), beside
parking Lot # 12.

3) I suggest your members start bringing boats on deck at 30 Minutes before the pool session.

4) Pool Staff can allow access via this door. Call the Pool Office at 613 520-5625, to advise that you are there.

5) This access is for CUKC members only, who are delivering boats. Others must enter the facility via the Control Centre. The boats MUST be delivered via this access door.

6) Note – Once on pool-deck, CUKC participants MUST remove their street shoes.

7) We now have our own rack! We have about 5 spots left, so if some of your members wish to leave their boats here on the kayak racks, that is OK. Please remember to bring a lock with you!
