Welcome to CUKC!

We are thrilled to have beginners and experienced paddlers alike joining us this year, it’s going to be a great one. Here’s a quick rundown of what’s going on in September with the club so everyone is in the loop:

September 22nd-24th clear your calendar because our Fall Trip is coming up and it will be RAD!!! One weekend of paddling, campfires, s’mores, partying and great times guaranteed! Experience with kayaking is not necessary AT ALL, we welcome kayakers of all skill levels—the stoke is high so sign up quick before the last spots run out! Only 8 spots left for First Timers and Beginners!

September 30th First pool session of the fall semester! Come join us at the Carleton University pool to play around in kayaks, perfect your roll, or master some new tricks. Don’t forget to join us for half off wings at Patty’s Pub on Bank St afterwards!

CUKC has many other events planned throughout the year such as kayaking film festivals in Ottawa, Rideau river race, movie nights, CUKC’s annual party’s, spring trip, rafting at Hell or High Water festival in Petawawa (ON) during May, where we are currently the defending champions. During the spring CUKC also participates in many whitewater festivals around southern Ontario. The majority of our events are beginner friendly and we are always happy to introduce new faces to the sport.
