Welcome to CUKC’s Fall Trip signup page.
The Carleton University Kayak Club runs semi-annual trips to the Ottawa river for a weekend of kayaking. The rapid section of the Ottawa river is one of the worlds best locations for whitewater kayaking as it is very beginner friendly. Fall trip is not only beginner friendly, but geared toward beginners. Even if you have never sat in a kayak before you are welcome to sign up for this awesome trip! We will be joined by world class kayaking instructors who will teach all the basics of the sport and who will ensure you have a fun and safe descent down the river. Kayaks and gear can be rented if needed!
Advanced paddlers; we also want (and need) you! If you can help lead, instruct, or be available to help with rescue that would be fantastic. You can also just show up and show off all your fancy moves to impress beginners and get them stoked.
Novice and intermediate paddlers; you’re also invited! Fall trip is a great opportunity to work on your skills in a river surrounded by tons of paddlers who will help you out.
Also, you do not have to be a university student to join us on this trip. Community members are always welcome.
We will be camping at Wilderness Tours. Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be provided. Campfires and sing alongs will definitely be happening
