Rideau River Race

NOTICE: The race has been postponed from March 25th, it will now occur April 2nd.

Hello CUKC!

We are finally bringing back the Rideau River Race!

If you’re an advanced or intermediate boater with a solid roll then you’re welcome to take part in the Rideau River Race on Arpil 2nd! The course starts on the Rideau River below Hogs Back falls and ends when the racer touches the marker (with hand, paddle or boat) in the large eddy below the O-train bridge at Carleton University.
The race begins at 10 am sharp! We will be meeting at the Hogs Back Falls parking lot before that time.

The cost to take part in the race is $10! Make sure you wear all the necessary gear for very cold spring paddling. All individual racers are expected to be competent paddlers in Class 3+ rapids.

Prizes will be awarded to the top three boaters!

If you’re not yet an advanced or intermediate boater we would love for you to come out as well! Help cheer on your fellow club members, take pictures, scout lines, and socialize with the club!

We also require volunteers to help out with safety boating, outfitting, timing, registration etc. Your time would be greatly appreciated!

You may register at https://cukc.ca/rideau-river-race
PLEASE CAREFULLY READ THE INFO, RULES, AND REQUIRMENTS PROVIDED ON THE PAGE.

We hope to see you come out!
